With over twenty-five years in the financial industry, Dan Ladner has developed a career grounded in dedication, leadership, and results. He began as a Financial Advisor, where his attention to client needs and ability to simplify complex financial concepts distinguished him early on. His drive led him to become an Assistant Branch Manager, a position in which he guided senior advisors, oversaw operations, and managed advisor recruitment and training.
Dan’s extensive work with Fortune 500 companies throughout his career strengthened his understanding of corporate finance, risk management, and strategic wealth solutions. This broad experience has shaped his approach to serving clients, balancing data-driven insight and human understanding.

At his current firm, which he joined in 2008, Dan leads a team dedicated to developing comprehensive and customized investment strategies. His responsibilities include analyzing client objectives, determining asset allocation frameworks, and selecting managers to implement tactical and long-term investment policies.
He and his team design solutions for entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, private foundations, endowments, and privately controlled corporations, managing diverse portfolios across equities, fixed income, and alternative investments. Dan’s expertise lies in creating integrated financial plans that include budgeting, wealth accumulation, retirement preparation, and estate planning, ensuring every client’s financial goals are strategically aligned with their life ambitions.

Before joining his current firm, Dan served as Vice President at Morgan Stanley for more than eleven years. There, he managed a broad base of high-net-worth clients and contributed to the firm’s leadership culture through mentoring and professional development initiatives. His years of leadership refined his ability to balance market analysis with individualized client guidance, qualities that continue to define his approach today.

Education and Professional Development
Dan is a lifelong learner whose academic and professional achievements reinforce his deep expertise in finance. He earned the Certified Portfolio Manager (CPM) designation through Columbia University’s Fu Foundation School of Engineering, in partnership with the Academy of Certified Portfolio Managers (ACPM). His coursework included portfolio theory, fintech applications, and quantitative investment management.
He also completed the Certified Private Wealth Advisor Program at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and pursued graduate studies at Harvard University Extension School.
Dan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the City University of New York (CUNY), with a concentration in Public Administration. Early in his career, he was awarded a fellowship with the New York State Assembly and Senate, which led to his work as a Legislative Assistant serving the Judiciary, Corporation, and Education Committees.
He holds Series 7, 9, 10, 31, 63, and 65 licenses, as well as a Life Insurance license, enabling him to serve clients in more than 30 states, including New York, California, Florida, and Texas.
Service to Community and Civic Leadership
Dan believes that leadership extends beyond the workplace. He has served as Chairman of the Board of Adjustments for the Meadowlands and Secaucus region, a role appointed by the Mayor and City Council, where he oversaw commercial and residential zoning variances. He also represented his town on the Super Bowl Committee, helping coordinate community initiatives tied to one of the nation’s most significant events.
Additionally, he was elected by his neighbors to serve two terms on his condominium association’s board, including as Treasurer. His ongoing participation in charitable and fraternal organizations reflects his belief in giving back to the communities that have supported his success. He was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of Homes for Vets, a nonprofit committed to creating safer and more accessible housing solutions for U.S. Military Veterans.
Pursuing Balance Through Athletics
Outside of his professional life, Daniel Ladner is a proud member of the New York Athletic Club, where he enjoys playing squash, tennis, golf, and clay shooting.
